Hammond Island is trialling Ergon Energy's new Power cards

Each household and businesses have a new meter reader installed in their power box. We have now been upgraded with reusable cards, given to household members. Over the past two days Ergon Energy have been in the community distributing the flexi-cards.

Hammond Island is the first Island within the region (along with Wujul Wujul in the Cape) to the get the new power card system. Ergon Energy also installed the new software at our Divisional Office so that community can recharge and purchase credit for their new flexi-cards. The new system is beneficial to the community it minimizes faulty old cards.
