As of 4pm today (16/10/20), the following changes come into place for Queensland's COVID-19 restrictions:
• All of Queensland can gather in groups of up to 40 people in their homes and public spaces.
• Up to 40 people can dance at any one time at a wedding with a COVID Safe Plan.
• Dancing is permitted at Year 12 formals.
• Aged care residents can go on excursions.
The current border restrictions from 1 October 2020 are still in place.
Council’s Ordinary Meeting for October will now take place in our Mer Community on the 27th-28th October 2020.
Members of the public are welcome to attend Ordinary and Committee Meetings as an observer via their local Council office. Deputation requests must be submitted in writing to the Chief Executive Officer via email: info@tsirc.qld.gov.au and are required within 7 business days of the applicable meeting.

Council has partnered with Clean Up Australia to run Great Northern Clean Up events in each of our communities from Sunday, 20th September to Monday, 28th September 2020.
