Deputation requests must be submitted in writing to the Chief Executive Officer via email: CEO@tsirc.qld.gov.au and are required at least two weeks prior to the meeting.

Indigenous Literacy Day is a celebration of Indigenous culture, stories, language and literacy. ILD is organised by the Indigenous Literacy Foundation who raise funds for literacy resources for remote communities.

Adult Learners' Week (ALW) runs from 1-8 September and incorporates International Literacy Day, which is celebrated annually on September 8.

ALW is a UNESCO initiative and is celebrated at the beginning of Spring with hundreds of events and activities promoting the benefits of learning.

During this week we encourage you to visit your local Indigenous Knowledge Centre (IKC), take out a membership if you don't already have one, and ask our friendly staff about what events and learning activities are available.
