In these Terms of use the following meanings apply:

'Council, we, us, our' all mean Torres Strait Island Regional Council.

'Site' means the Torres Strait Island Regional Council website and includes all other websites and sub-sites managed by Council.

'Material' means any information, text, symbol, logo, image, video, audio, document, file or other data on the Site.

'You, your' means any person accessing the Site.

Access to and use of the Site is subject to the Terms of Use.

Important Community Notice - Fuel

Important Community Notice

Increase in fuel prices from 8 August 2022

The July 2022 Ordinary meeting of Council passed the following resolution:

Council resolves to maintain the current fuel subsidy whilst increasing the sale price of both unleaded and diesel fuel to $3.70 per litre (inclusive of GST) due to increased fuel related costs, effective from 8 August 2022 and amend the Register of Fees and Charges accordingly.

James William appointed Chief Executive Officer

James William appointed Chief Executive Officer

The Torres Strait Island Regional Council (TSIRC) has welcomed Mr. James William as its incoming Chief Executive Officer.

Mayor Mosby officially introduced Mr. William to all staff and Councillors during special meetings held on 7 March 2022, the first day for Mr William in the role.
