TSIRC Mayor, Councillors and Executive visited Poruma for the August Ordinary Council Meeting who hosted the August 23 celebrations. August 23 celebrates the first Council conference held in Masig on August 23, 1937. The theme of the event was ‘Zageth Matha Ulaik – Unfinished Business’ referring to the unfinished business of the meeting that took place in 1937.
Event highlights included a special performance by Urab Dancers and speeches by Cr Getano Lui and Mayor Gela.
