So you want to be a Councillor in 2020? Training dates are out now - See below for the times and places for a training session near you.

Officers from the Department of Local Government, Racing and Multicultural Affairs will be in your area to assist anyone interested with information about the 2020 Queensland Local Government elections.

You can attend one of the free face to face training sessions that will occur as follows:

Thursday Island
1pm to 4pm - Monday 17 February 2020 at the JCU Conference Room, 86 Victoria Street, Thursday Island.

Hammond Island
9.30am to 12.30pm - Tuesday 18 February at the Hammond Island Community Hall, Hammond Island.

Northern Peninsula Area
9.30am to 12.30pm - Wednesday 19 February 2020 at the New Mapoon Hall, New Mapoon.

Badu Island
9.30am to 12.30pm - Thursday 20 February 2020 at the Community Hall, Badu Island.

Kubin
9.30am to 12.30pm - Monday 24 February 2020 at the Kubin Community Hall, Moa Island.

Mer (Murray) Island
9.30am to 12.30 pm - Tuesday 25 February 2020 at the Mer Community Hall, Mer Island.

Boigu Island
9.30am to 12.30pm - Wednesday 26 February 2020 at the Boigu Community Hall, Boigu Island.

Masig Island
9.30am to 12.30pm - Thursday 27 2020 at the Masig Community Hall, Masig Island.
